If you've received one significantly lower than our low range, you may be at risk of an installation that only lasts you a couple of years. If it matters to you, we'd recommend confirming whether the company you received that quote from is owning the installation, or using a subcontractor — in which case they can't own it.

The lengths on the drawing come from where you clicked. We check them on site — if a side really runs out to the fence or the tree, we measure it there and the estimate follows.
The gap between what goes down and what we order is offcut, and we pay for all of it. A long straight yard wastes very little. An odd-shaped one wastes more — which is why two lawns the same size can price differently.

Higher end — a long carry from where the rock is dropped · an awkward shape, so more turf is cut off and thrown away · a slope that needs leveling first · thick or stubborn ground cover to strip out · a small yard, under 500 sq ft, where the fixed costs spread over less ground
